There are many sites on the Internet that have information on running a BBS.
This is not a complete list of sites, but many I use myself to keep up to date on what's going on in the BBS world.
BBSing started as a hobby that created small local communities of callers. Once the Internet "boomed" in about 1996, the
proliferation of BBS' soon declined by the thousands. While the Internet is a good thing, it doesn't always lend itself to
a "personal" place to gather. The people that continue to run these website listed here either were or are still BBS SysOps.
They are trying to hold on to a part of their past that was fun and don't want to see it disappear.
You will find lots of information on each site with links to more information. Some site are specific to BBS Software, others on BBS history,
some on BBS Doors
